KOA SPRING CONVENTION

The 2012 KOA Spring Convention will be April 26-29 at the Hyatt Hotel in Louisville, KY.  Click here to download a registration packet for an OD or Para.  The KOA will offer 21 hours of CE for ODs and 12 hours of CE for Paras.  Be sure to call the Hyatt Hotel by March 26 to make your room reservation at the KOA rate of $144.  Email sarah@kyeyes.org if you have questions.

REGULATION TO IMPLEMENT "BETTER ACCESS TO QUALITY EYE CARE" LAW ENACTED

MEDICAID MANAGED CARE

The Cabinet for Health & Family Services has created a website specifically to address questions and provide information on the transition to managed-care for Kentucky's Medicaid population.  The site is now live - http://medicaidmc.ky.gov/Pages/index.aspx .  The website contains information for both members and providers, as well as contact information for each MCO (Coventry, KY Spirit, Wellcare) that will begin providing coverage November 1st, 2011.  The KOA has more information on the specific vision contracts in the Members Only Section of the website under the Medicaid tab.

PRESCHOOL EYE EXAM INFORMATION
